I need a better camera, because my current machine just
can’t capture the breathtaking views from my place.

I’m not sure what type of digital camera you’re using right now, or what your price range is, but I just picked up a Canon PowerShot S410, which is a 4 megapixel Digital Elph that I’m very happy with. Its good quality lens, ease of use, high-enough resolution, and incredibly portable size (2.5″ x 1.5″ x 1″ dimensions, so it fits in my sportcoat pocket and weighs about as much as a palm pilot) means I’ll be taking along with me everywhere. You can find it online for under $300.

Thanks, Ross. I’m still using the first generation Canon Digital Elph (S100 perhaps). I love the size and it’s been good in general. But clearly its time to move on. I was waiting for another digital elph that’s similarly small in size. I was looking at the S500. I see the S410 and S500 are similar in size. I’ll likely get one of those, thanks!

I’ve heard from my pro photo friends that the consumer level Cannon G6 is fantastic.

Thanks, I ended up putting in an order for the Canon S500. The size is really important to me, but something that’s good and small. I think this will work great.
